This is a case of an uncommon MRI cause of an intramedullary spinal mass and spinal cord edema. The patient presented with paresthesias, weakness, and saddle anesthesia. After multiple imaging studies and an open spinal biopsy, pathologic diagnosis yielded neurocysticercosis as the diagnosis.
