"Dare To Share!" is a project, which allows sharing cases between researchers and colleagues. Users may find interesting or needed cases/images for different kind of projects (studies, books, publications, presentations etc.) while assuring the owner's credentials/copyright of the case. Direct contact between the searcher and the owner of the case provides also a good opportunity to get to know new, potential partners for future projects.
Why was "Dare To Share!" developed?
How often do we face the situation, that we want/have to present a lecture, talk or want to write a paper about specific entities but we don't have enough images of that specific entity to show?! Of course, you could copy images from books, papers or websites but mostly these images are copyrighted. It is then often very cumbersome to contact the original author to ask for permission to use his/her images or it might be even costly, because publishing houses require a fee for usage of its material.
Wouldn't it be great if a "market place" would exist, where colleagues could submit a list of all THEIR cases and share this list of diagnoses with others? Just the diagnoses - not the images! Wait: This way a huge database could be created, in which people can just search for entities/diagnoses. The case contributors would have only minimal work, because only the diagnosis would be submitted - no complicated image editing/submission case preparation etc. - only the diagnosis. On the other side, the user in need for images searches for specific diagnoses and finds a list of colleagues who have these images. Then, the searching user just need to contact the owner of the case. This way, not only a more "personal" approach in the sense of a Radiology community would be offered but also the copyright issues/acknowledgements for the contributing author.
That's why "Dare To Share!" was born!
A quick tutorial about the "Dare To Share!" program can be seen here.
"Dare To Share!" has also a support forum.

For everyone who has not yet an account, just click on the link "Not yet registered? -> Registration free for Radiolopolis members"
As it says, registration is free and it recognizes you as a Radiolopolis member and automatically completes the registration process. Can't be easier!
