This tutorial explains, how to efficiently create a Radiology teaching file and submit it for the "Case of the Week".
First, log into Radiolopolis (www.radiolopolis.com). Then you will see a link "My teaching files" in your left menu (screenshot 1).

Screenshot 1
After you clicked on the link "My teaching files" you will be asked if you want to activate your (free) Radiology Teacher account. This will be done automatically with just one mouse click. You will then see a link "Click here to enter" (screenshot 2). When you click on the link, a separate browser window will open and you will automatically log into the teaching file program.

Screenshot 2
The new browser window asks you to login. You don't need to enter all your login data if your browser has cookies enabled. Click FIRST on the "click here" link (screenshot 3). In case you have trouble logging in or you just logged out less than a minute ago, just wait one minute and login with your login data. You may also access your teaching files through the Radiology Teacher main website www.RadiologyTeacher.com.

Screenshot 3
After you logged in the first time you will see an empty template for your first teaching file (screenshot 4). In case you already started and saved a teaching file, the last teaching file you worked on will appear after the next login.
The template allows you to enter comprehensive information for each individual case, such as demographics, history, discussion, differentials, references, medical codes (e.g. Mesh, ICD, ACR, Radlex etc.), etiology, and much more.
IMPORTANT! If you decide to apply with this teaching file for the Case of the Week, you have to set the status to "public" (see bottom of screenshot 4).

Screenshot 4
To assure a high quality of the Case of the Week, only teaching files are eligible that have all fields filled with the appropriate information (see screenshot 5).

Screenshot 5
To upload images for your teaching file, click on the "Image download" icon in the top left menu.
The icon for the image download is
.
In the image download area (screenshot 6), please select your image from your computer by clicking the "Browse..." button. Please enter an image description, select the modality and choose if the image should be downloaded in its original size or a size of your choice. Click then on "Download Image".

Screenshot 6
You may review all downloaded images in the "Edit Images" area by clicking on the "Edit Images" button in the the top left menu.
The icon for the image edit area is
.
The "Edit Images" area allows you to edit image descriptions, edit the images or delete the images (screenshot 7).

Screenshot 7
You may always go back to your main edit area by clicking on the
icon in the top left menu.
To be eligible for the Case of the Week, all fields in the edit area have to be filled with pertinent information and a multiple choice quiz for this particular teaching file has to be finished.
To create such a quiz, please click on the "Exam Module" button in the top right menu:
IMPORTANT! It is strongly advised to first upload all images for the teaching file before you start the quiz - because you may (and should) associate your uploaded images with specific questions.
The exam module allows you to create up to 5 multiple choice questions with image associations and explanations (screenshot 8). Please fill out ALL fields.

Screenshot 8
When you enter the quiz, you will see all images you uploaded at the top. Below each question, there are checkboxes for each available image. You may now checkmark each image you want to be displayed for that particular question (screenshot 9).

Screenshot 9
After you saved the quiz, you may preview it (screenshot 10). After you clicked the "See the quiz in action" link (blue oval in screenshot 10), a new browser window opens - showing your own quiz in action! (blue arrow in screenshot 10)

Screenshot 10
The nice think about the exam module is that you don't need any programming experience - the quiz, with the "fancy" image viewer and user statistics/evaluation are created automatically by the program! (screenshot 11)

Screenshot 11
Finally, after you completed your teaching file and the associated quiz, you may now apply for the Case of the Week. To do so, please checkmark the "Finished?" checkbox and click on "Save" (screenshot 12).

Screenshot 12
After you checked "Finished" and saved the teaching file a last time, a text announcement appears, asking if you would like to apply for the Case of the Week (yellow and red text in scrrenshot 12). To officially apply and notify the administrator about the application, click on the "Apply here" email link provided at the bottom of the text (screenshot 13).

THAT'S IT!
