Announcements

Monday, 10 May 2010 by Kelly Olsen-Stanko

Hi everyone, in case you missed it last week, rt image's first May issue is out and available on our Web site.

Our cover story, Squelching the Flames, explores the dangers of digital disasters, and examines recovery products and advice from other facilities.

In our Examine: Teleradiology column, Allen Rothpearl, MD, speaks about his efforts in Haiti in donating the services of his telerad practice to help a children's hospital in Haiti.

Also, if your facility is looking to upgrade their current PACS or purchase a new one (perhaps with better recovery features!), be sure to check out our PACS Data Sheet, where you can compare vendors, features, and specs all online.

Also, don't forget about our dPub, the digital version of our magazine available immediately to subscribing members and delivered straight to your inbox.

Have a great week, see you for our May 17 issue!

The modifier question would be more suited in the dedicated breast imaging community at http://www.radiolopolis.com/groups/116 . I am pretty sure you'll find some answers there.

Dr. Cerqueira is great. He's also involved in our cardiac imaging cover story for this week's issue, March 15! You can find his commentary and the rest of the article here: http://bit.ly/9kHxbY

hallo Jane,
what I wonder all the time - beeing a German Radiologist practising in the US - that there appears to be almost no market to start a Radiology practise on your own......meaning that there are almost no adds in the web etc where people want to sell an imaging center......., or looing for a radiologist to start a service...

the reason is in my eyes that most radiologists are basically "empoyees" of hospitals or big groups etc and also that most of the imaging centeres are owned by non radiologists ....

your platform could be a forum to bring together entrepreneurs and radiologists ......

the concrete question for you : do you have ever the situation where someone wants to sell an imaging center and wants to palce an add in your journal?

Hello to all! Have you seen our most recent issue of rt image? The lead story is about imaging in prisons. Something I found interesting about that was some of the prisoners need to be imaged with shackles on. Imagine the tech having to work around that! Check out the issue and let me know what you think! http://www.rt-image.com.
